Our towns waste and recycling is collected for every 2 weeks... I used to fill my bin to the brim every time it was collected, but having made a concious effort to not be so wasteful I now barely fill the bin a quarter of the way, and I have 5 dogs too .... very minor, but still, progress

[deleted user] Just made more of an effort to not acquire so much shit, and use everything i have as much as i can until it is literally dead ... relevant example, my lawn mower just blew a motor, cheaper to buy a new mower all together, but I will choose the more expensive option of getting it repaired.

Quasimodo yep, get ya. People just throw away and rarely try and fix things. I have been trying to reuse/repair if can. This generation is not very self sufficient. We have lost all our talent for doing things ourself
