Have any of you guys heard about the fund raising effort in Vermont, USA to purchase a 1000 acres of land for Ubuntu which includes a ski resort?

Yeah, SkyDancer, seen that link days ago when it was first posted. I'm just very curious why I can't get in contact with anybody from Vermont who know anything at all about this Vermont property. I hate to say I'm getting suspicious over lack of information or confirmation from anybody involved.

The Vermont property is mentioned in the Ubuntu collaboration session briefly in this video: https://youtube.com/watch/… It mentions in the bullet list "troubled youth" working on a farm to produce food? I'm youthful and sometimes troubled. Does that count? I'm a farmer/gardener and I would love to live and work somewhere in an Ubuntu community if I could find such a place.

Josef, there isn't a lot of information available right now, until the property is acquired there is a binding non-disclose contract for security and privacy reasons. If you are interested in contributing to the purchase, ubuntuboltonvt@gmail.com or (802)434-6500

Wondering if there is housing and contribution jobs to be had in Vermont right now? I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines of Ubuntu and want to get involved. Anybody with any knowledge on the subject feel free to respond. It would be nice to start a conversation about this.

Branson, yes, I've heard all that stuff already and I've already donated. I'm just wondering why there ain't nobody who is in Vermont that lives in or near the area that is saying anything about this opportunity? Apparently, I've heard a small part of land is already owned and this is an additional purchase. What's going with the land that is already owned? Why is nobody involved chatting about that?

Maybe they aren't quite ready yet, you know? If everything were open information in the days/weeks/months before it is operable, imagine the confusion and chaos when herds of people descend upon this farm. I'm ready as well, but we must be patient so we do things right the first time. The whole world will be looking at our philosophy after this.
