Michael's journey across South Africa has begun. The goal is to promote UBUNTU mayoral candidates in several small towns and hopefully get one elected on August 3rd. I am not good at soliciting donations but, if you are wondering how you can help the cause, here is your chance:…

Janet, thanks for sharing that! I really like your photo right next to MT. You live in a beautiful spot next door to a golf course between George and some fabulous mountains. What a beautiful farm to harvest from the bounty of abundance! How many people do you think are supporting your candidate? What can we do from here
to help?

Trygrave I would love to farm and live UBUNTU. Its difficult to monitor my impact because I aim mostly for poor people without computers / internet access. I've been doing it for more than a month. Yesterday I received my materials so I only really start campaigning from tomorrow. But already I can tell in the street I'm making an impact because some people remember me as the UBUNTU lady. Trygve obviously I have to work which leaves me less time and energy for UBUNTU. Tomorrow I hope to find some people that might help me. I need a AmaXhosa, hopefully male, because I plan to go into less "Safe" areas because I feel I have a bigger impact on poor people in unsafe area. I don't have transport and now I have to carry banners etc too. But onwards and upwards and feeling strong to fight the GOOD fight. Very inspired by Michaels visit and he gave me excellent campaigning tips.

Janet you are fantastic! Thank you for pouring your heart into UBUNTU. I would give you a ride but, you are 9017 miles away (with an ocean). I want to encourage you that there is a force field of protection around you as you carry your message into unsafe neighborhoods. Even desperate people who do bad things can tell when you are not to be preyed upon. Hold your head up and walk without fear.
Hopefully, moral support can propel you along your way. We are the ones we have been waiting for.

Thank you for your kind words. As I'm busy packing all materials and getting ready for tomorrow. I hope with all my heart I will be safe in my campaigning. I have experienced some rejection from people close to me recently when they have found out my political agenda. That is very difficult to deal with. RSA has never been easy when it comes to politics. And many of us feel we are fighting the same fight we did 21 years ago. But this time without the guidance of the Father of our Nation. Nelson Mandela, in his spirit we will fight the same fight all our lives until we can say we are free.

There is a wonderful book Good Morning Mr Mandela written by Madiba assistant and close friend Zelda Le Grange. I cried too many times and finished and realized my battle in life has only just begun. We have to keep the spirit of Madiba and UBUNTU In our hearts and continue to climb the mountains of that spirit.
