We are creating an open international circle to promote the full circle project. As we are early in the development of the FCP we want to help to spread the message to more people. To become a member you need to dedicate at least one hour per week to the circle,. We will be using and learning the "circle of five" method of organizing and if you participate in the circle you will get the knowledge to be able to teach this method to other people.

The thing to do is to write a Strategic Overview.

A strategic overview is a tool that you can use in your circle to create an analysis of our current global situation. It allows us to find common issues of concern, focuses our efforts and keeps our direction.

The overview consists of four parts. First, make a list of the most important problems that you each feel need to be rectified. Secondly, analyze the root causes of these problems. Thirdly, list your visions for the future. Finally, adopt a three part strategic plan explaining what you can do in your circle to support each other, what action you can take in your community and list possible solutions for our world problems.

When we create an overview, we get a full view of the situation and that is important to create meaningful action. Make sure to focus on the most important issues. You can start by writing down the titles of the top five problems and write a short explanation of each.

The problems of the world

When we talk about problems, we mean problems that can be observed in the world. It can be things like poverty, deforestation, war, pollution and so on. Try to describe the problem without analyzing. Be direct and to the point. What problems are most important to you that need rectifying?

The root cause

Causes are the reasons behind the problems. Here you can share your ideas and analysis of the world. The causes can be found both in the way we act and in the way the system is operating. There may be many causes behind a problem. Here you can define the causes that you see to be the most important behind the problems you observe.

A vision for the future

To adopt good strategies we need to first understand what our vision is for a better world. What would be the most important aspects for a healthy society and planet?

The plan of action

Now comes the time to make suggestions on how to solve the problems. What can we do in our circles to make our own life's better? What can we do to create positive change in the world? What would you like to see happening on a larger scale. To be effective, the plan should include actions that you can do in your circle and has a good possibility to be accomplished within a foreseeable time span.

Start by making a short overview with only the top 5 issues and a short explanation of each. Then we will combine our overviews to create a circle overview.
